Gilded dial 8 day Oak Longcase Clock
Very original West Country country style longcase clock set in an oak case with mahogany cross-banding and shell inlay decoration.
Nicely engraved gilded square dial with seconds hand and large date wheel.
The oak case topped by a matching set of 3 wooden turned finials.
Likely to be John Tucker (ii) who took over the clockmaking business from his father located on the N side of Fore Street in 1805, running it until 1829.
In excellent working order with a nice patina, iron weights, case key and original pendulum and winding key.
Height 87" including finials.
