Mahogany silvered dial 8-day Longcase Clock.
A suberb original later longcase clock by this Somerset clockmaker.
Rossiter was working in Fore Street and Cornhill, Bridgwater from 1839-1861.
Beautiful case with fan and starburst inlays, and break arch hood with floral carved paterea.
14" silvered dial featuring floral and vine engravings, signed to the arch.
Date and seconds dials, strikes the hours on a bell.
The trunk flanked by substantial octagonal columns in solid mahogany.
A superb example of the clockmakers craft in the 1800's.
Some repairs to case, but very presentable and good working order!
