A rare moon-phase white dial longcase clock in its original mahogany arched case with elaborate inlay and stringing.
The dial with seconds, date and working moon phase.
Striking the hours on a bell, the case with lock and key to the door, and West Country 'wavy edge' door to hood.
The photos show the case in its unrestored condition, but the case will be restored and repolished prior to sale.
William Knight is recorded as working in High Street, and Market Square, Wells until his death in 1829.
