GF101 - SCOTTISH MOON-DIAL BY WILLIAM CALDWELL, GLASGOW (1820-37)
A beautiful mahogany and inlaid Scottish longcase clock having an 8-day movement, striking the hours on a bell.
The elaborate dial features a dial in the arch indicating the phases of the moon, seconds and date hands, and paintngs of flowers and thistles in the corners.
The dial is faded, although the makers signature is legible, and can be restored if required.
The superb case has been newly restored by my skillful professional restorer, and is the original case in classic Scottish style.
