GF115 - JOHN ROUCKLIFFE, BRIDGWATER - 8 DAY BRASS DIAL CLOCK
A lovely quality brass dial Longcase by the noted Bridgwater clockmaker John Rouckliffe who is recorded working from 1750-1785, having been apprenticed to Willm Stumbles of Totnes in 1740. Rouckliffe and Tristram Brimble made and repaired many local church clocks in the vicinity of Bridgwater.
This clock is housed in a fine mahogany case, stakes the hours on a bell, and has it original brass pendulum.
