Signed Chas Hobbs, Bridgwater C1880, Nicely made wall clock with chain fusee movement. Set in a stained pine case, with brass bezel, glass and key. The provenance of this clock is that it hung at the premises of CJ Harris Animal feeds, whose Mill was located in Church Street Bridgwater, until about 1973. Chas Hobbs was a watchmaker located in Eastover who was married in 1856 to Elizabeth Brewer.
Nice working clock.
