W022 - FUSEE WALL CLOCK BY J GOODMAN, TAUNTON (1861-1897)




A very nice quality 19thC wall clock with attractive turned surround and 12" enamelled dial, signed by the maker.

8 day shouldered brass movement with chain fusee and the dial with spade hands.

John Goodman is recorded as working at 2 Cheapside in 1861 (now Bill's restaurant!), 18 Fore Street in 1875, and 2 North Street in 1883.

A very nice Taunton clock ready to hang in your hallway or kitchen proundly wearing the patina of 150 years of history.
